We need to pull the teeth of the environmental hypochondriacs ( EPA,ESA,WLCP, ET. AL.) before they destroy what individual liberty is left. They were created through lobbying by the Commintern. They were given unabridged power to enact laws, and penalties with infinite geographical impudence. Their disregard for property and individual rights, as well as the Constitution, is showing them to be nothing more than extortionists with a vendetta against corporations and industry.
These covert revolutionaries need an institutional facade to give them credence as saviors of the planet. Just as some use the religious cloth as a shield for their perversive and political gains _ we have a few on the political podium now. And so it is with the government scientists and their politically correct theories on the devastating effects of mans productivity. The Conservation movement has shifted its direction to protesting capitalism and industry. Their proclivity is toward state ownership or, at the least, controllership of all lands and its society. The Plutocracy within the legislature is behind this endeavor has to have an army of indoctrinated (through education) zealots to give them some qualification. This allows the legislators to absolve themselves of accountability.
The world survived without the mammoth, the saber toothed tiger and the dinosaurs. So, we would survive without the wolf et.al. The Fish and wildlife Service spent 3 million to buy Florida habitat for the dusky seaside sparrow _ the last bird died in 1987. (L.A. Times, Dec. 22, 1994). And now, I understand the Clinton administration did seek to ban all economic and recreational activity on 510 wild life refuges. In so far as the Spotted Own, et. al., are concerned, they are mobile; they can fly from one place or tree to another, they are not dedicated to the specific tree.
Then there was the asbestos panic. Due to Federal mandates the states spent between $15 and $20 billion to remove asbestos from government buildings. Three years latter they decided it was "an expensive mistake"; the disturbance was more damaging than leaving it in place.
These agencies bestow enormous discretionary powers on unaccountable bureaucrats at a exigent burden to the taxpayer without cost_effect consideration. They should be restricted to advisors to the public rather than bigoted lawmakers. An example: the million dollar out house in Glacier National Park. It is accessible only three months of the year by horseback or afoot by a bunch unhappy campers.
Clinton had a proposal for confiscating the property of suspected polluters. This shows which side of the isle ( Marx or Jefferson ) he is on, in case you hadn’t noticed. It isn’t just about pollution, its about socialist enslavement and American freedom from government tyranny. Congress created a monster when it created the EPA and associated agencies. Its time to do something about it.By L.D. Fore
